Virginia (Siebenmorgan) Thompson, 90, of Atchison Kansas died Sat. April 11, 2015 at the Atchison Medicalodge.
Virginia was born on Sept. 21, 1924 in Hiawatha, KS the daughter of Vivian and Anna Lomax. She graduated from Hiawatha High School and worked as a seamstress and quilter for the former Horton Garment Factory for twenty five years. She also worked ten years at the Atchison Youth Center. Virginia was a Past-President and member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, the Intern Ladies Garment Workers, and was shop steward for Local Union # 538. She enjoyed quilting, fishing, ceramics, gardening, sewing and cooking.
She was married to Charles Siebenmorgan on May 21, 1943. Mr. Siebenmorgan preceded her in death in August, 1977. Virginia later married Gerald Thompson on Sept. 30, 1980. Mr. Thompson preceded her in death on December 24, 2010. Survivors include a son, Glenn (Marilyn) Siebenmorgan, Hiawatha, KS, a daughter, Teresa (Robert) Peak, Atchison, KS, ten grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren. Her parents, both husbands, a daughter, Joyce Underwood, and four brothers, Si Lomax , Don and Ronald and Roger Yaussi, and a granddaughter; Lisa Siebenmorgan Elliott preceded her in death.
