George was born in Providence, Rhode Island and came to Jacksonville when stationed at NAS Jax with the Navy. He retired from US Gypsum Corp after 36 years.
After retirement he enjoyed boating, fishing, and riding his Harley. He was also a musician entertaining us all with his piano playing talent.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years Ann Santayana, children Lisa Santayana Pelkey and George G Santayana, 5 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Friday 1 PM January 18, 2019 in Evergreen Cemetery.
