Charles Marcus Newland, age 86 of Council Bluffs passed away August 6, 2005 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital.
Charles was born June 2, 1919. Charles worked for Eton Metals until retirement. Also he worked part time at No Frills Supermarket for 10 years. Charles served in the U.S Army.
Charles is preceded in death by one brother, five sisters, and three step-daughters.
Charles will be sadly missed by his wife Ethel of Council Bluffs: 2 sons: 1 daughter: 2 step-daughters: eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; nine step grandchildren and eight step great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Monday at Henry-Livingston Funeral Home from 6:00pm 8:00pm. Celebration of Life service will be Tuesday at Henry-Livingston Funeral Chapel at 11:00am. Interment to follow at Ridgewood Cemetery in Council Bluffs.
