J. H. Baber died about five o'clock this morning at the home of his niece, Mrs. Harry Brooks, on Chestnut Avenue. He was 68 years of age. At press time this afternoon no funeral arrangements had been made, pending word from Mr. Baber's brother who lives in Dayton, Ohio.
He is survived by six sisters and the one brother. Sisters are Mrs. M. C. Baber and Mrs. U. G. Baber, of Nelson County, Mrs. W. G. Henderson, Mrs. Henry Henderson, Mrs. Betty Brown, and Miss Lizzie Baber, all of Waynesboro. The brother is J. S. Baber, of Dayton, O. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for J. H. Baber will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Alexander Funeral Home. The Rev. H. Lee Scott will conduct the last rites while the Masonic Lodge will officiate at the grave.
