Mrs. Catherine E. Baber died Saturday night about 9 o'clock at her home on Arch street. Mrs. Baber, who was in the 83rd year of her age, had been ill with pneumonia for several weeks. She was the widow of the late James Baber, who died in 1921.
Funeral services were conducted from the Baptist church, of which the deceased was a member, Tuesday morning at eleven o'clock. Mr. Irvine, of Afton, had charge of service in the abscence of the pastor. Interment was made in Riverview.
Mrs. Baber leaves the following family: Six daughters-Mrs. Milton Bowman, Miss Elizabeth Baber, Mrs. Wm. Henderson, Mrs. Henry Henderson, of Waynesboro; Mrs. Nelson Baber and Mrs. Eulisus Baber, of Nelson; two sons, J. H. and John S., of Dayton, Ohio, and three sisters, Mrs. Rebecca Coiner, of Waynesboro; Mrs. Chas. Cook and Mrs. Henry Farar, of Nelson.
