Grace Snipes Brady, 87, wife of the late Joe R. Brady, entered into rest Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 20, 2019, at 2:00 PM from Hopeful Baptist Church, 2973 Winter Rd, Blythe, with Reverend Greg Glover, Reverend John Raborn, and Reverend Kyle Wilson officiating. She will lie in state from 1:00 PM until the hour of service.

Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Mrs. Brady, daughter of the late Cora Boatright Snipes and Reverend Jesse James Snipes, was born in Garfield, GA. She was a farmer for fifty years and retired from Kendall Company as an Operator after eighteen years. She was a member and past Worthy Matron of the Alice Warren Chapter of the Eastern Star, and was a member of Hopeful Baptist Church where she attended the Ladies Sunday school class.

She was preceded in death by her sons, Charles Grayson Brady and Jones Murphy Brady; and by her grandchildren, Michael, Stephen, and Leslie.

She is survived by her children, Danny R. Brady (Sherry), of Hephzibah, and Joann Gooden (Wayne), of Martinsburg, WV; her grandchildren, Joe Brady, Tracey Morgan, Dana Opperlee, Jason Brady, Travis Brady, Amanda Polatty, and Donnie Ventura; ten great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; and her sister, Joyce Greenway, of Evans, GA.

The family will receive friends, Saturday, January 19, 2019, from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
