Laura first married to William D. Stevenson (went by Wax) (1883-1924) on 06 Sep 1903 at Des Arc, Iron County, Missouri. Laura and Wax were first cousins, once removed, the parents of five known children, namely:
1. Bessie Jewell Stevenson Shaver (1904-1947)
2. Thomas Benton Stevenson (1907-1971)
3. William Riley Stevenson (1909-1991)
4. John Henry Stevenson (1913-1981)
5. William Guy Stevenson (1924-2004)
Was William Guy Stevenson (note second child called William) really a child of this family?
After Wax died, Laura remarried to the widower Frederick Oliver Amsden (1872-1954) on 17 Jun 1927 at Iron County, Missouri, but had no known additional children.
In 1930 Fred, Laura, C. Raymond Amsden (age 26), Thelma E. Amsden (age 18) and William G. Stevenson (age 5) were living at Union Township, Iron County, Missouri.
