Faye Theo Staples Holifield, 90, of Laurel, died Wednesday, April 11, 2007, at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel, with burial in Tuckers Crossing Cemetery. The Revs. Eddie Bryant and Roy Crowe will officiate.

She retired from Ellisville State School and was a member of Tuckers Crossing Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Clattis Latrell Holifield; parents, Will and Dora Pauline Lyons Staples; a sister, Grace Elizabeth Staples Whitehurst; five brothers, Howard Staples, Paul Staples, Virgil Staples, Victor Staples and Hallie Staples; an adopted brother, Jakey Francis Staples; and a great-granddaughter, Natalie Diane Craft.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Charlotte Holifield DeWitt and Billy DeWitt of Laurel and Karen Holifield Franklin and Tom Franklin of West Monroe, La. ; two grandsons, Michael Ray DeWitt of Laurel and Gregory Clattis Ball of West Monroe, La.; three granddaughters, Alecia Craft of Springville, Ala., Allison Phillips of Laurel and Jodi Ball of West Monroe, La.; a great-grandson, Walker DeWitt; four great-granddaughters, Adrienne Craft, Katherine Phillips, Natalie DeWitt and Allison Ball; and many cousins and friends.

Pallbearers will be Keith Holifield, Dwain Holifield, Kenny Holifield, Gary Staples, Johnny Staples, Ben Staples, Sam Staples and Jason Musgrove.

Visitation will be held from 2-3:30 p.m. Sunday, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel, which is in charge of arrangements
