Lloyd Milleson, age 80, of Clarinda, Iowa, passed away Sunday, March 4,. 2001 at the Clarinda Regional "Health Center, Clarinda, Iowa. Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m., Thursday, March 8, 2001, at Walker-Merrick Funeral Home, Clarinda, Iowa with Rev. Walden Paige officiating. There will be visitation with the family 7-8 p.m., Wednesday, March 7, 2001 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Clarinda Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Clarinda Fire Department or to the American Heart Association. Walker-Merrick Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Lloyd M. Milleson was bom October 4,1920 in Clarinda, Iowa to Pearl C. Milleson and Marie (Allen) Milleson. He was a graduate of Clarinda High School and served his country during World War II in the United States Navy. May 9,1942, he was united in marriage to Fem Coe in Maryville, Missouri. For 13 years they owned and operated the Sears store in Clarinda. After his retire­ment he continued to work at the Sears store and did lawn mowing for the City at the cemetery and the parks. Survivors include hiswife Fern of the home, daughter, Connis Smith and her husband Jim of Corpus Christ!, Texas, son, Scott Milleson and his wife Janice of Stanton, Iowa, grandchildren, Jennifer Thackray and her husband Chris, Melissa Kuehn and Zachary Milleson, great grandchild, Zoe Thackray and step grandchild, Nicole Smith. Preceding him in death were his parents, broth­ers, Merrill Milleson, Pearl Milleson, sisters, Zella and Kathleen.
