Joe served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam conflict and later in the Air Force Reserves. As a civilian he pursued a career in computers and worked for various companies and the State of New Mexico as a programmer.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, José E. Baca and Augustina Baca, brothers, Marty Baca and Michael Baca and niece, Julie Hill.
Joe is survived by his sisters, Lorraine Baca and Victoria March and her husband, Brian March, his nephew, Aaron and his wife, Christina Hill and the following grand-nephews and grand-nieces, Dominic Giannini, Gino Turano, Hayley and Kevin Heard and Alli Hill.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 11, 2019 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Noblin Funeral Service Los Lunas Chapel, the funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m. Interment will be held at Santa Fé National Cemetery, Santa Fé, NM on Monday, January 14, 2019 at 9:45 a.m.
