José was married for 64 years, a father of five, and a Korean War Veteran who received four Bronze Stars for his service.
One of José's greatest joys was being on a tractor and cultivating his land. José also worked for Public Service Co. of New Mexico, as a lineman, and retired after 30 years of service. José was as stubborn as he was patient, he was the consummate teacher, a great provider for his family, and is well loved and respected. José and his dry humor will be sorely missed.
José was preceded in death by his wife, Augustina, two sons, Marty and Michael and his granddaughter, Julie.
José is survived by his children, Victoria March and her husband, Brian March, José "Joe" Baca Jr. and Lorraine Baca, his grandchildren, Aaron Hill and his wife, Christina, great-grandchildren, Dominic, Gino and Alli and step-grandchildren, Hayley and Kevin.
