Lillian Eiland Ullrich, 91, passed away of old age, in her sleep, at her home in San Antonio on January 4, 2019. She was born on November 28, 1927 in Bartow, Florida to John F. Eiland and Grace Storch Eiland. As a child the family lived in many places in the citrus growing regions of Florida and Louisiana, as her father was a citrus grove inspector for the Department of Agriculture. She married Frank Ullrich. They raised all of their 7 children in the catholic faith, all attending catholic schools, St. Anthony's, St Leo, Holy Name, and Tampa Catholic. She was a founding member and president of the Day Z Flower Club and an active member of the Women's Club of San Antonio. She loved to garden, sewed beautifully, played bridge, painted, baked the best pies and canned all of her own jams, jellies, and pickles, but most of all she loved to dance. She wanted to take piano lessons at the age of 86. She would often say her most rewarding achievement was raising all 7 of her children. Our mother had a deep inner strength and tremendous love for her children and husband Frank. Her accomplishments in life were centered in that love and her legacy will continue to ripple through the lives of all her family. We are strengthened by our memories of her , sad she left us, but rejoicing for her as she is reunited with her husband, and in the eternal company of the Lord. She is preceded in death by her husband Frank and son Martin. She is survived by her son Richard and his wife Pam of Destin, FL, Stephen of Goshen, CA, daughters Nancy and her husband William of Vero Beach, FL, Grace and her husband Clayton of Waynesville, NC, Susan of Pace, FL, and Kim of San Antonio, FL her life long companion and caregiver. 10 grandchildren Will, Dempsey, Chad, Elizabeth, Josh, Emily, Turner, Brook, Shelby, and Callie. 11 great-grandchildren . A visitation will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, San Antonio, FL on January 8 from 9-10 am with a mass directly following at 10 am. A reception will follow after the service. Burial will be at Florida National Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Hodges Family Funeral Home. Hodges FH
