Dorothy Loretta, daughter of Dora May (Wilks) and Albert Elmer Icke was born in Alva, Oklahoma on November 5, 1926. She passed away at Beadles Nursing Home January 7, 2019 at the age of 92 years, 2 months, and 2 days.
She attended the Alva Westside Grade School and Junior High School. Then she worked at the Alva Ice Plant later the Anthony Grocery Wholesale in Alva.
Miss Icke was married to Joe McKinley on February 24, 1945 in Alva. To their marriage six children, Loretta, Albert, Clyde, Harold, Howard and Betty were born.
Following their marriage they operated a trash route also lived in Woodland, Illinois where they went back and forth. In 1968 she worked for the Holt Green House. On May 31, 1972 she started working at the Beadles Nursing Home. She worked at Beadles for 25 years and retired on December 31, 1996. She continued working part time until November of 2005.
She was a member of the Alva Bible Baptist Church.
Mrs. McKinley was preceded in death two sons, Howard and Albert; a grandson, Douglas Simon and a great grand daughter, her parents, two sisters, Anna Icke, and Lucy Throckmorton; five brothers, Issac, Albert, Roscoe, Alvin and George.
Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Loretta Dixon and her husband Benny, of Buffalo and Betty Fields of Alva; two sons and their wives, Clyde and Marquetta of Longdale, Harold and Birdie of Fairview; two daughters in-law, Mary McKinley and Zeona McKinley. Eleven grand children, Wesley and Michelle Hoffman, Marie and Will Fox, Alan and Melanie McKinley, Melissa and Steve Conrady, Sashia & Jonathon Pendleton, Angel McKinley, Willie McKinley, Louis McKinley, Billy and Heather Perry, Jessie Simon and Glorie Stuck. Sixteen great grandchildren, David Hoffman, Serria, Savannah and Cody Conrady, Emilee and Sarah McKinley, Casey and Savannah Bryant, Dakota, Christian and Austin McKinley, Douglas and Emilee Perry, Shannon, Michael and Leo Stuck and Zoey and Flynn Pendleton. She is also survived by several great, great grandchildren. Two brothers and their wives, Herman and Leona Icke of Enid and Paul and Emily Icke of Wendell, Idaho, a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
