SEPTUAGENARIAN RESIDENT DIES MONDAY IN SHERIDAN
SHERIDAN, April 10 – Mrs. Cora Belle Chandler died very suddenly at her home in Sheridan Monday morning. She was 71 years old and had lived all of her life in and near Sheridan, having been born on the old Graves farm near here.
Mrs. Chandler was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Graves who were among the earliest settlers in this part of the county. Mr. Chandler passed away about 14 years ago. Surviving Mrs. Chandler are five children, Earl C., Washougal, Wn.; Gladys E., Portland; Altha, Sheridan; Evadna, Grants Pass; Mrs. Ruth Garrett, McMinnville. There are also three living brothers, Waller, Carl S., and Roy Graves, all of Sheridan. Funeral services will be held at the Sheridan Funeral home Wednesday, April 19, at 1:30 p.m., and interment will be at Sheridan Masonic cemetery.
