LUCAS: Margaret Ann Stone, age 81, passed away early Thursday, December 27, 2018 from Crestwood Care Center in Shelby following an extended illness.
She was born July 25, 1937 to parents Walter O. & Mildred L. (Wolff) Terman in Lexington. After Margaret graduated Lexington High School with the class of 1955, she earned her nursing degree from Mid Ohio Practical Nursing Program. Margaret worked at Mansfield General for over 27 years until retiring in 1992.
On October 15, 1955, she married Robert Lee Stone and they shared 50 wonderful years of marriage until he passed away in 2006. They are now together again.
Margaret enjoyed sewing, golfing, and bowling with the Mansfield Morning League. She attended Woodville Grace Brethren and was active with Girl Scouts, 4-H, and Jugs Corners Grange. But above all, Margaret cherished spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children Barbara Schaad of Mansfield, Fred & Joy Stone of Lucas, Vickie & Rick Hunt of Lucas and Ted & Linda Stone of Mansfield; grandchildren David & Jennifer Schaad, Angela Schaad, Steven & Cristine Keever, Jeff & Amy Keever, Audra & Jerry Pritchard, Heath & Jenny Stone, Jerrod & Jamie Stone, Nick & Sam Stone, Alia Stone (fiancé Jory Ross), Sarah & Todd Oswalt, Jacque & Jeremy Arnold, Brian Hunt, Tiffany & Jesse Huntsman, Tara Stone, and Tia & James Bailey; 32 great grandchildren with one on the way; sisters Mary & Gene Heidlebaugh of Lexington and Jane Beuk of Mobile, AL; brother-in-law Cloyd Huvler of Lexington; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her loving husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Phyllis Keever, and siblings Martha Nordstrom, Olen Terman, and Myrle Huvler.
The family will receive friends 3-4pm Thursday, January 3, 2019 at the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home where a memorial service honoring Margaret’s life will begin at 4pm with Pastor Jim Berry officiating.
