A daughter of John Caldwell Pinkerton and Sarah Gilmore, she was first married to Nelson Chitwood, b. TN, 1806, d. MISS, 1848, and had several children with him. After he died she married William Pollock Acker, 19574929. They were found in Panola County, Mississippi census in 1850. A year later they were all in Smith Co., Texas where John Caldwell Pinkerton died and is buried at Bascom Cemetery.
