Lowell Andrews, 13 year old son of Marion Andrews of Bloomfield died Saturday night at 9:00 at the hospital in Centerville, following an attack of Diphtheria and Kidney trouble. The lad made his home near Mark most of the time since the death of his mother. Deceased is the younger brother of Mrs. Arthur Weede of this city. Funeral services will probably be held in Mark. Arrangements are delayed until relatives from a distance are heard from.

Diphtheria Takes Child…..Lowell Andrews Dies At Centerville Hospital
Lowell Andrews, 13 year old son of I.M. Andrews, dies at St. Joseph hospital, Centerville, last Saturday afternoon after a three weeks illness with diphtheria and Brights' disease. The funeral service was held at the Hopkins cemetery, west of Mark, Tuesday morning at 10:30 and was conducted by E.V. Goad. A Quartette composed of Mrs. Walter Dixson, Mrs. Elvin McCullough, Mrs. W.H. Kline and Mrs. Vert Horn sang "The Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" and Nearer My God To Thee". The remains were entered by the side of his mother, who passed away about 12 year ago. There were a number of beautiful floral offerings.
