Katie Lann Cagnolatti, age 86, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2018 in Monroe, Louisiana at her residence.

The funeral will be held Friday, December 28, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at Tallulah United Methodist Church with Rev. Henry Stone officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church from 12 noon to 1:00 P.M. Burial will follow at Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home.

Mrs. Cagnolatti was born in Lincoln Parish and was the youngest of four children to Mr. and Mrs. T.J. Lann. She was a graduate of Ruston High School where she was a member of the pep squad, band, played basketball, softball and was a member of the interpretive dance group. She graduated from Louisiana Tech University with merit. There, she was a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority, Blue Jacket Cheering Squad and served on the PanHellenic Council. After graduating from LA Tech, she taught physical education and English Literature at Tallulah High School. Later, she was a supervisor in the State Office of Family Services from which she retired. Mrs. Cagnolatti was an active member of Tallulah United Methodist Church where she was leader of the Heart & Soul Sunday School class, taught several bible study groups, and served on the administrative board. After moving to Monroe, Louisiana, she became a member of Lea Joyner Memorial United Methodist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. T.J. Lann; her husband “Roe”; two brothers, the Reverend Ted Lann and Jack Lann; and sister, Marie Tompkins.

Katie had four children and five grandchildren, who she considered to be her greatest achievements in life. She is survived by one son, Dr. Dale Cagnolatti and his wife Tammy; three daughters: Nancy and her husband Dr. Edwin Adams, Kathryn and her husband Chris Waters, and Dawn and her husband Rob Landry, all of Monroe, Louisiana. She has five grandchildren: Dr. Steven Schwab and his wife Susan, Matthew Adams, Cole Landry, and Jackson Landry; one granddaughter, Brooke Howington, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Affectionately known as Katie or Kate, she loved deeply...friends, animals, strangers, sports, literature and family. We are at peace because, most of all, she loved and worshipped her Lord with all of her heart.

Pallbearers will be her four grandsons and Mac and David Cagnolatti.

Memorials can be made to Lea Joyner Memorial United Methodist Church or the River City Humane Society for Cats.

Her family would like to thank Dr. Dean Stockstill and Heart of Hospice for extending care and compassion over the last years and months.
