Grady Arter "Catfish" Bradley, 81 of Salisbury passed away Friday, Dec. 21, 2018 at his home. Born March 24, 1937 in Rutherford Co., he was the son of the late Vada Mae Smith Bradley and John Arter Bradley. Mr. Bradley was educated in the Rutherford County schools, was a heavy construction machine operator and retired from Papco Asphalt Paving Company. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 17 siblings. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 58 years, Diane Hendrix Bradley; his children, Grady Allen Bradley (Lynn) of Salisbury, Gail Bradley of Salisbury, Richard Wayne Bradley (Angela) of Woodleaf and Denise Bradley of Rutherfordton; sister, Betty Jean Bradley of Rutherfordton; brothers, Frank Bradley and Calvin Bradley (Ann) of Sandy Mush; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Service: The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26, at Summersett Funeral Home followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Summersett Memorial Chapel with Mr. Jeff Cannon, Minister of West Innes Street Church of Christ officiating. Interment will follow at Rowan Memorial Park. Summersett Funeral Home is serving the Bradley family. Online condolences may be made at www.summersettfuneralhome.com.
