Betty had four siblings, Helen, Norman, Louise, and Shirley. She attended grade country school and graduated from Nelson High School.
Betty met Earl Adamson and they were married September 4, 1944. This union was blessed with 2 daughters Karen and Kathy. Earl returned from the war and they lived on a farm near Nora, then moving to Iowa for a short time then returned to Nora-Nelson area. Betty enjoyed being a housewife and mother. She and Earl were fortunate enough to celebrate 60 years of marriage together.
Betty was a member of the Nelson Community United Church of Christ. She taught Sunday School and Bible School and also belonged to the Ladies of the Church and was a member of the UD Extension Club. Earl and Betty raised purebred ponies and was a member of the registered Ponies Organization. She enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, and taking family vacations, listening to music and just enjoying life.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings Helen TeSelle, Norman Jacobitz, and Shirley Lyons
She is survived by her daughters Karen Thayer and husband Mike of Nora and Kathy Follmer and husband Dennis of Davenport; 5 grandchildren Michelle Bring and husband Jerry of Lincoln, Nebraska, Mark Thayer and wife Stephanie of Nora, Nebraska, Jason Follmer and wife Rebecca of Edgar, Nebraska, Amy Taylor and husband Lonnie of Springfield, Missouri and Lacey Follmer of Grand Island, Nebraska. 8 great-grandchildren Wyatt and Mackinley Thayer, Austin Mazour, Paisley, Kaleb and Jake Follmer, Izzabella and Temperence Taylor. One sister Louise Nelsen of Humbolt, Nebraska other relatives and a host of friends.
