Angelina Cerulli Calka, 87, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Stamford Hospital December 16, 2018. She was born in Stamford, November 24, 1931, the daughter of the late John and Jennie Sgritta Cerulli. Angie was a graduate of Stamford High School, "Class of '49", a Columbiette with Father Myron Miller Knights of Columbus Council #5833 Auxillary. She participated in numerous senior groups, in particular with St. Gabriele Church. Angie is survived by her sons John A. Calka and his wife Lois, Anthony J. Calka and his partner Rich Onofrio, daughter Frances A. Norton and her husband Thomas, grandchildren Alexandra Starling and her husband Patrick, Katherine Norton and Elizabeth Calka. Angie is also survived by her siblings Grace Suppa and John Cerulli. Besides her parents, Angie is predeceased by her husband John Francis Calka and her siblings Bill Vito Cerulli and Salvatore Cerulli. Family and friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home and Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford, CT on Thursday, December 20, 2018 from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home on Friday, December 21, 2018 at 10:40 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. at St. Cecilia RC Church, 1184 Newfield Avenue.
