Obituary of Gilbert Villalovas
Gilbert Villalovas, a resident of the Spanish Peaks Veterans Community Center, left this life on December 10, 2018. He was born to Pedro "Pete" and Laura Villalovas on February 12, 1928 in Olathe, CO. Gilbert was employed by The Climax Molybdenum Mine and retired after 30 years of service as a Transportation Foreman. Gilbert lived a fulfilling life as a loving father to five children, devoted grandfather to six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. He was a caring brother, an amazing husband to his late wife Mollie (Maez) Villalovas and surviving wife Norma (Panion)Villalovas, and a dear friend to many. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and all sports. Gilbert had a green thumb and could be found tending his lavish gardens and yard in his spare time. He was known for his sense of humor and loved by all those he met. Gilbert’s legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone with whom he interacted as well as those he has touched but never met.
