He was born December 31, 1921 in Roosevelt to Francis Xavier and Eva Mae Bellon. He spent his early life in the Uintah Basin. The family spent summers in the mountains herding their cattle. He cooked in his brother's café in Roosevelt. He graduated from Roosevelt High School as student body president.
He married Lynne Oberhansly from Hayden (later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple).
Doral served in the United States Army during WWII in the Philippines. They moved to Salt Lake City, where he graduated from Henegar's Business College and worked as a head cost accountant for conglomerate dairy producers, Intermountain Milk, retiring at age sixty-four. At the same time, he served as president of their credit union, running it from home.
Doral held many church positions over the years. He always worked hard at many things, including his home, yard, and garden.
Doral is survived by two daughters, Judy Peters and Michele Bellon; grandson, Dallas Maxwell; three brothers; one sister; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lynne; three sisters; and eight half siblings.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Meadow Heights Ward Chapel, 4310 South 3200 West, with a viewing prior to the services at 10:00 a.m.
Interment: Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South, West Valley City.
