MARY'S OBITUARY
The funeral service for Mary Nell McCollough will be at 10:00 am Monday, December 17, 2018 at the First Baptist Church in Porter, OK. The Reverend Dale Clayton will officiate.
Friends and family will gather for a visitation from 2:00-4:00 pm Saturday at Mallett Funeral Home in Wagoner.
Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Porter. Pallbearers will be Mike McCollough, Mark McCollough, Brian McCollough, Mark Lampley, Christopher Lampley, Brandon Fowler and Gunnar McCollough.
Mary Nell McCollough was born December 23, 1941 in Okay, OK to Olen Harold Wofford and Dollie Murdock Wofford. She graduated from Okay High School.
She moved to Porter as a young bride when she married Edgar Ray McCollough on June 10, 1960. They continued to make their home in Porter all their married life. Together they owned the McCollough Tag Agency. She liked selling watermelons.
Mary always had a pretty yard, and she was very particular about keeping it neat. She and Ray shared memories of trips to Branson where she enjoyed attending the music shows. Holidays were important to Mary; a card and a cake were necessary for birthdays.
Mary’s greatest joy was being with and caring for her family. She loved to babysit the grandchildren and never missed a ballgame. Her family always will remember how she would do anything for her loved ones.
Mary departed this life Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at her home in Porter, OK. She was preceded in death by her parents, Olen and Dollie Wofford, a sister, Helen Rice, and a brother, Richard Wofford.
Survivors include her husband of fifty-eight years, Edgar Ray McCollough of the home; four children and their spouses, Brenda and Mark Lampley of Porter, Mike McCollough of Porter, Mark and Kim McCollough of Muskogee and Brian and Amber McCollough of Porter; grandchildren, Christopher Lampley, Amber Daniels and husband, Chris, Alisha McCollough, Brittaney Fowler, Kady Voss and husband, Brandon, Brandon Fowler, Gunnar McCollough and Gracie McCollough; great-grandchildren, Morgan, C. J. and Wyatt Daniels, Paisley and Presley Voss and Aiden and Bryce Fowler; three brothers and their wives, Joe and Sue Wofford, Olen and Pat Wofford and Leroy and Debbie Wofford; many nieces and nephews; other extended family and friends.
