Patrick was born in Scotland a McPherson. He fought for the Scottish Protestant Royalists against Cromwell at the Battle of Worcester 3 Sep 1651. Captured, he and 273 other Royalists arrived in Charlestown, Massachusetts Bay Colony 11 Nov 1651 on the John and Sarah. Upon arrival he changed his name to Fassett.
