Kirchner, Cecile D. Born Cecile Dumas, Sept. 21, 1926. Passed into the arms of the Lord: Sept. 8, 2005. Cecile was raised in Farmerville, LA, moved to the Valley from Detroit, MI in 1963 and was employed as a financial officer for Magee's in the Farmer's Market, Calmont School and retired from the City of Hidden Hills in 1989. With her husband, Don, she traveled the world visiting 72 coutries. Cele is greatly missed by her devoted husband, stepson Don R. Pember (Diann) of Seattle, WA and step grandchildren Brian Pember and Alison Pember. She was a generous and loving person with a great sense of humor who radiated warmth, boundless generosity and compassion and a selfless concern for others. "I miss you in the evening, dear When daylight fades away; I miss the sheltering arms of you To rest me from the day, I try to think I see you yet There where the firelight gleams, Weary at last, I sleep and still I miss you in my dreams. The world is full of folks, it's true, But there was only one of you."
Anonymous Services will be held at St. Mel Catholic Church, 20870 Ventura Blvd., Woodland Hills, CA at 10:30 a.m on Thursday, September 15, 2005. Viewing at the Church at 9:00 a.m. Mass to follow at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, send donations to the Christian Foundation For Children and Aging, One Elmwood Ave., Kansas City, KS 66103.
