Gordon Thomas Beals, Sr., 85, passed away May 16, 1997 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
He was born July 21, 1911 in Tacoma, Washington to Ernest Curtis and Margaret Ann Irving Beals. He married Hazel Lamb on June 5, 1943 in Renton, Washington. He was an active member of the LDS Church, having served four missions. He loved his family and dedicated all his time to them. He very much enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel; his children, Vianne Neilsen; Linda Lee Armstrong; Margaret Ann Martinez; Gordon T. Beals, Jr.; Hazel Bernice Williams; Georgianna Mae Hunter; 26 grandchildren; eight great-grandchidren; two sisters, Hazel Mauch and Mable Bryan. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Ruth; a daughter, Vienna; a son, James Curtis.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, May 20, 1997 at 11 a.m. at the Jordan View LDS Ward Chapel, 2320 So. 1165 West. Friends may call Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church and one hour prior to services. Interment will follow the services at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 So. Redwood Road.
