Dr. Gust N. Boulis, 79, of Canfield, Ohio, passed away Monday, Oct. 23, 2006, at Forum Health Northside Medical Center. Dr. Boulis was born July 13, 1927, in Vandergrift, a son of Nicholas and Sophia (Linakis) Boulis.
A graduate of Washington and Jefferson College and Jefferson Medical University, Philadelphia.
Dr. Boulis was a U.S. Navy veteran of the World War II and Korean War conflicts, serving as a medic on the aircraft carrier USS Beaudoin Straits.
He was a member of American Legion Post No. 737 in Canfield, the Optimist Club, The Pillars of Stambaugh Auditorium, the Order of the A.H.E.P.A. and was a 32nd degree Mason. Dr. Boulis was also a member of the local, state and national American Medical Associations and was a member of St. John's Greek Orthodox Church in Boardman, Ohio.
He leaves his wife, Lois (Wilson) Boulis, whom he married in 1972; a daughter, Chrisso Boulis, of Philadelphia; two sisters, Catherine (John) Miniotis, of Vandergrift, and Eva (John) Rodakis, of Lexington, Mass.; and a brother, Dr. Matthew (Renee) Boulis, of Philadelphia. Dr. Boulis also leaves two nephews, Col. Nicholas Miniotis and Dr. Nicholas Boulis; and two nieces, Dr. Ann Boulis and Mrs. Lynn Hulme.
Arrangements were made by the LANE FUNERAL HOME, CANFIELD CHAPEL, Ohio.
Dr. Boulis was interred at the Vandergrift Cemetery.
