Born on November 24, 1925 in Crestline, Ohio, passed away on November 18, 2018 in Downey California.
John served in the Navy during World War II as a Pharmacist's Mate. He and his brother in law, Keith Hatfield owned the Market Basket grocery store in Crestline for a number of years prior to him working at the Shelby Depot. He relocated to Lancaster, California in 1958 and worked in Civilian Personnel at Edwards Air Force Base. In his retirement years he worked as a travel agent, served on the Lancaster Arts Council and volunteered at the Lancaster Performing Arts Center.
In 1949 he married his beloved Barbara Beck at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Crestline, Ohio.
John is survived by his sons.
Interment at Forest Lawn Long Beach.
