Erma Marie (Cobb) Redfearn entered this life July 11, 1923 in Cherokee County Oklahoma. She was the second child born to William Leslie “Bill” Cobb and Mary Adeline (Woods ) Mullen. Her siblings are William Jay Cobb, Carl Alfred, Paul Everett, Dewey Miles Jr and Larry Wayne and Harley Miles Mullen Reba Leota (Mullen) Bailey , Vera Dee (Mullen) Lester and Opal Lee Christine (Mullen) Yandell – Williams, Mary Alberta (Mullen) Holybee and Eula Marie (Mullen) Goodman.
Her first husband was Henry John Gates , out of this reunion three daughters and one son was born. Carolyn Marie, Marilyn, James Henry “Juggy” and Erma Gale Gates. Her first marriage ended in divorce, Henry passed away in 1999. On April 9, 1983 in Cherokee County Oklahoma she was united in marriage to Willard Monroe Redfearn.
Erma parted this life on November 23, 2018 in the Gore Nursing Center at Gore Oklahoma. She leaves behind two daughters, Carolyn Marie and husband Jerry Mannon , Erma Gale and husband Albert Harris.
She is preceded in death by her father, Bill Cobb, her mother Mary Mullen and step father Dewey Miles Mullen, husband’s Henry Gates and Willard M. Redfearn a son James “Juggy” Gates and daughter Marilyn Perry. Brother’s William Jay, Carl Alfred, Dewey Miles Jr. and Larry Wayne and Harley Miles Mullen . Sisters Reba L Bailey, Vera D Lester, and Opal L Yandell – Williams and Eula Marie Mullen.
She is survived by daughters Carolyn Marie and her husband Jerry Mannon, Erma Gale and her husband Albert Harris, Eleven Grandchildren, several Great grandchildren. A brother, Paul Everett Mullen and his wife Tracy and Sister Mary Alberta (Mullen) and her husband Charles D. Holybee . Nieces and nephew and other relatives and friends.
A memorial service was held at Reed Culver funeral home in Tahlequah Saturday, December 1, 2018. Family gathered together to remember the mother, grandmother and sister and share memories. Her remains will be interned at Greenleaf Cemetery Tahlequah Cherokee County Oklahoma at a later date.
