Mrs. Ellen B. Tucker, age 72, entered into eternal rest surrounded by her loving family on November 26, 2018.
A Celebration of Life Service will be 3:00 PM Thursday, November 29, 2018 in the chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Pastor Alisha Hansen and Brent Taylor. The burial service will be private. The family will greet friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Tucker was born July 21, 1946 at home in Chesterfield County, SC a daughter of the late Clyde L. and Christine Timmons Brewer. Ellen was the owner and operator of Shear Magic Beauty Shop in Chesterfield for 26 years. She was the recipient of the Katherine G. Hurst Businesswoman of the Year award in 2011 presented by the Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce. Her hobbies included planting flowers, decorating for the holidays, shopping for antiques, and collecting depression glass. Of all things she enjoyed, time spent with her family and especially her grandchildren were closest to her heart.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 53 years, Lloyd Dean Tucker of the home; 2 sons, Shane (Monica) Tucker, and Jason (Angie) Tucker both of Chesterfield, SC; 6 grandchildren, Jessica, Gracen, Jaysa, Emma Grace, Paisley, and Dalton; 2 sisters, Gen Scott of Columbia, SC and Clara (Charlie) Ratliff of Charleston, SC.
The Tucker family wishes to thank all the caregivers who assisted Ellen over the past four years. Your help has been greatly appreciated.
