She was a 1941 graduate of Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in Indianapolis, and over her life was a registered nurse at Bartholomew County Hospital. She was a member of Clifford Chapter 587 of Order of Eastern Star. Marcella was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her son, Jim (Debbie) Bricker of Greenwood, and her daughter, Jane (Rick) Bush of Columbus; grandchildren, Amy Bricker of Indianapolis, Amanda Bricker of Lafayette, Sadie Bush and Mollie Bush of Columbus; a great-granddaughter, Lyrik Adams of Indianapolis; a brother-in-law, Floyd “Mac” (Judy) McCray, Midland, Ohio; a nephew, Matt (Kathy) McCray, Boise, Idaho and a cousin, Mr. & Mrs. John Grinstead, Huntsville, Alabama..
Marcella was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two sisters, Frances Flick and Martha McCray and a nephew, John Flick. In keeping with Marcella’s wishes, cremation is planned with private inurnment in Garland Brook Mausoleum, officiated by Larry S. Fisher.
