Ralph Charles Blair Sr, 87, passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2018. He was a member of West View Baptist Church and a 50 year member of both the Overton Lodge #5 and Order of Eastern Star Hasson 179. He was also a member of the American Legion, VFW, and Jericho Shriners. He served in the U.S. Army during Korean War and worked 35 years as an over the road truck driver with 3 One Million Mile awards (No accidents) and retired from AJ trucking.
He is preceded in death by his parents, McKinley and Leona Blair; brothers, Mack Blair, Earl Blair, Carl Blair, and Lynn Blair.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Joyce Lipe Blair; sons, Ralph Charles Blair Jr and wife Andrea; Stanley David Blair and wife Marty; Loves of his life, grandchildren, Tanner Blair and Ethan Blair; step grandchildren Dustin Barton wife Laura , Derik Barton, Shahnaz Chaudhry, Courtney Breeden husband Joey, Mina Chaudhry, Keela Barton, and Andrew Barton; 5 step great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special friend and neighbor, Don Henley; and faithful companion Charley.
The family will receive friends Monday, November 26, 2018 from 6-8 pm at Christian-Sells Funeral Home in Rogersville. With services to follow at 8 pm with Rev. Larry Parrott and John Parrott Jr officiating. Graveside services will be 10 am Tuesday at McKinney Cemetery.
