Corrections: Tabitha (Burns) Jones did not die in 1839. She moved to Kaufman County, Texas, sometime after the sale of her Calloway County, KY, property to G. W. Frazer in 1830. She was enumerated in the 1850 and later 1870 Census in Kaufman County, in the latter census residing in the home of her son John H. B. Jones. Given her age, she apparently died after the 1870 Census and before the 1880 Census as she was not enumerated in the later census. Further, there is no evidence that her remains were transported back to Calloway County, KY, to be buried in the Jones Cemetery #2 rather than in Kaufman County, Texas.
