This land with cemetery reserved, was sold by Tabitha Jones to GW Fraser in 1830. There is another old but later burying ground, not to be confused with Tabitha Jones Cemetery, north of Dexter-Wadesboro Rd. It was long ago discontinued on the Andrews homeplace app 1/4 mile from Tabitha Jones Cemetery
Some old info on the Tabitha Jones:
Cemetery. On Find a Grave it is listed as Jones #2 in Calloway Co.
The location for the ones that know the area is at the 641 4 lane
intersection of 1346 in Dexter and should be in the corner on the land of
present owner Freddie OBryan.
This plot would be on the west side of the 4 lane and the last road before you cross over the Marshall co line
David Jones was the first white settler in Calloway Co. with James Stewart. He is buried at the old Jones Cemetery--which is a fenced area around a little grove of trees with some farm equipment stored in it, accessible just off US 641 from the southbound lane just north of the Dexter/Wadesboro intersection. You'd never know there is a cemetery there.
