Mary M. Kuhns CHARLESTON Mary M. Kuhns, age 87, of Charleston died at 11:52 p.m., Monday, February 8, 1999 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center. Funeral Services will be held at 1 1:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 11, 1999 at Adams Funeral Chapel with Reverend Ray Finney officiating. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery, Charleston. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service.
Mary was born July 3, 1911 in Charleston, Missouri, the daughter of John and Massie (Warren) Crader. She married Calvin T. Swinford, who precededed her. For the past thirtv-one years, she has been married to Clarence Kuhns. He survives; Other survivors include two sons, Sam Swinford of Charleston and John Swinford and his wife Nancy, formerly of Charleston and currently residing in Carrollton, Georgia; one daughter, Sue Sidenstricker and her husband Paul of Florida; ten grandchildren, Becky Metzger, Cindy Ebinger, Stacey Swinford, Kathy Conover, Kelly Stewart, Karen Davis, Ted Sidenstricker and Mark, Samantha and Sandra Swinford; and seventeen great-grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents and a brother, Emil Crader and a sister, Minnie Hill.
Betty was a former employee of Charleston High School Food Services and retired from Food Services at Eastern Illinois University. She attended Salisbury Church.
