Mrs. Edna Mabel Wetzel Northrup
a former Delphi resident; died
March 31, at Mt. Carmel hospital,
Colville, Washington, it was learned
here today.

Born near Edna Mills, June 13,
1896, she moved with her parents
to Delphi when quite young. She
graduated from the local high
school in the class of 1916. Following
graduation she went to the
State of Washington in 1916 where
she attended and graduated from
Cheney Normal school. She taught
school for many years.

She was married to Rod Northrup
on May 22, 1922. The family
later moved to Colville where
they have resided for 24 years.

Surviving are her husband, Rod;
three sons, Rodney, a missionary
to Satilla, Mexico; James of Spokane
and Norman of Lexington,
Oregon, who is a pastor of the
Christian church; a daughter,
Mrs. Marvin Ray of Ephrata,
Wash. Three brothers and three
sisters also survive. They are: Ray
Wetzel of Spokane, Carl and Fred,
both of Tacoma: Mrs. Maude
Stroudt of Leavenworth, Wash.,
Mrs. Kathryn Robinson and Mrs.
Nettie Wilhoite, both of Tacoma.

Mrs. Northrup was a life mem-
ber of the Christian church. Funeral
rites were held in Colville
on April 3 with burial in Fairmount
cemetery at Spokane.
