According to the 1880 census, Thomas lived in Santa Clara County, Ca. The 1900 census shows Thomas and Eva being married only 3 months and living in "Judicial Township No. 3". Judicial Township No. 3 consisted of the areas of Easterby, Malaga, Roberts, Fresno No.1, Fresno No.2, Colony, Menire (sp?)and Whites Bridge precincts in what is now Fresno County, Ca. Thomas is listed as being a farmer. They owned their farm free and clear of a mortgage. By the time of the 1910 census they were living in Dos Palos, Ca.

T. J. Haun, 72, New River, Resident, Succumbs Here
T. J. Haun, 72, of New River, this county, passed away here Thursday night. He took suddenly ill Thursday morning and was brought to town by his son. Charles Haun, for medical treatment. Deceased was born and raised in Santa Clara county, making his home at Gilroy, until four years ago when he came to this county with his son and located at New River. Besides his son, Charles he leaves two daughters, Mrs. Vera Hobbs of Sacramento and Mrs. Ethel Jarmain of Gilroy. His funeral was held Friday afternoon from Miller's Undertaking Parlors. Interment being in the public cemetery.
