Mrs. Alta F. Pollard, 72, of Star, a lifetime resident of Star, died Tuesday morning in a Boise hospital after a long illness.
Mrs. Pollard was born Jan. 24, 1886, in Star, a daughter of the late Billy and Sarah Frost, who pioneered in the Boise valley in 1865. She was married Sept. 1, 1909, in Boise to Chester Pollard and the couple since had lived in Star.
She was a member of the Christian church of Star and was a charter member 55 years ago of the Ladies Aid society of the church.
Surviving in addition to Mr. Pollard are two sons, Adrian of Boise and George of Portland; her twin brother, George Frost of Star, and five grandchildren, and one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
The Schreiber-McCann-Gibson chapel is arranging services.
