Anne Trisler Martin, 78 years young, passed into heaven on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at her home in Extension, LA, surrounded by her loving family. She is now healed from cancer and is in heaven with Jesus, celebrating with her husband, J. C. Martin, her daughter, Donna, and her family and friends who have gone before her.

Her family will accept visitors at Mulhearn Funeral Home on Tuesday evening, November 13, 2018 from 5:00 until 8:00PM and on Wednesday morning, November 14, 2018 at 9:00AM prior to the service, which is at 10:00AM. Her son-in-law, Rev. Rex Barker will officiate, and arrangements are under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral home of Winnsboro.

Mama was a special lady. She raised her 4 children and when they all entered school, she began work at Fort Necessity High School as a teacher’s assistant, touching the lives of so many. Her calling in life was to be a Mama. Along with J. C., her high school sweetheart husband of 57 years, she raised us well, teaching us faith, and how to love, laugh, work succeed, serve, and survive. She loved to cook and was a master in the kitchen, known for all good foods in general, but kind of famous for her chocolate pies, home made bread, and cinnamon rolls. More than cooking, Mama’s greatest love was family, tending to us, feeding us, and advising us, even when we did not ask for advice. She more than assisted in raising her 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, and as recently as 3 months ago was keeping multiple great grands at a time. They never seemed to drain her energy, in fact, they energized her and kept her going. There are not enough words to describe what an amazing woman she was, and her legacy will live for generations.

She is preceded in death by her husband, J C. Martin; daughter, Donna Martin; and her parents, Cosby and Lillian Frazier Trisler.

Left to carry on her legacy are her 3 children; Debra Martin Barker and Rex, Terry Martin and Vicki, and Glyn Martin and Lisa; and a special niece, Judy Ragsdale; and son-in-law, Jerry Robbins; 8 grandchildren and spouses, Sarah and Cammie Landry, Bailey and Jeff Winters, Cuyler and Lucy Martin, Jamie and Brad Nelson, Kristen and Daniel Landry, John Robbins, Lilly Hughes and Brett, Jessica Hill and Kolby and special grand, Stefanie Bailey. Her 15 great grandchildren are Noah, Adi, Caroline, Blaine, Carson, Milli, Chloe, Zayn, Emma, Evan, Eli, Ella, Jaedyn, Kendal, and Karter.

Honoring her by serving as pallbearers will be Cuyler Martin, John Robbins, Jeff Winters, Cammie Landry, Brady Nelson, and Brandon Easterling. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Jimbo Colvin, Ralph Easterling, Jerry Robbins, Dr. Tom Colvin, Quinton Ragsdale, and Dr. David Colvin.

The family would like to express our love and appreciation to Dr. Tom Colvin, Dr. Sanjay Joseph and Mary and the kind staff at Louisiana Oncology, Home Care TLC, and Hospice TLC, and her special care giver, Charlotte Landry. We could not have endured this journey without your expertise, love, and support.

Remembrances in her honor may be made to Boeuf Prairie Methodist Church or a worthy cause of your choosing.
