Mrs. Isabelle Humphrey, one of the oldest . . . ladies of this city, died Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George N. Gray, on South Sixth Street, aged 87 years. She was born at Carlisle, Ky., June 16, 1818, and spent most of her life in this county. She had made her home with her daughter since 1876. She is survived by Mrs. Gray, her only daughter. Mrs. Isabella Jane Humphreys, wife of the late J. W. Humphreys, and mother of Mrs. Geo. N. Gray . . . her father, the Rev. John Rankin was pastor of the Presbyterian church. They removed to Ripley, O., and here Mrs. Humphrey was married.
