Oma A. Scott, 77, Dies Last Night
Oma Aaron Scott, 77, residing at 1934 Main street, died at 9:20 o'clock last night following an illness of several months.
The son of Aaron and Marilda Scott, the deceased was born in Hancock county, near Greenfield, on April 1, 1862. He had lived in this community practically all his life.
On December 4, 1907, he was married to Adda Webster. Two children were born to this union, a daughter, Mrs. Orville Smith, of Anderson, and a son, William Scott, of Elwood.
Surviving with the wife and children, are four sisters, Mrs. Nancy Robertson and Mrs. Daisy Daugherty, both of Elwood; Mrs. Cora Nuding, of Indianapolis, and Mrs. Lodema Ponitin, of Auburn, Wash.
The body was removed to the Clark Chapel and will be taken to the family home this evening.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Pilgrim Holiness Church with the pastor, Rev. George Huff, in charge. Burial will be in the Memorial Park cemetery in Anderson.
