Belva D. Bartholomae, a native of Whitehall and resident of Baton Rouge, LA passed away Sunday, November 4, 2018 at the age of 84.

Belva or Aunt B to some enjoyed painting and became a wonderful cook. She was known for her addicting sweet potato casserole but welcomed the day when she never had to cook again. She was very involved with the VA after her husband retired.

After moving to Baton Rouge following Katrina many of the friends and family that were displaced started a lunch group that became known as “The Chalmations”. She was a loving mother and wife and she will be missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her husband Lee Thomas Bartholomae, Sr. and parents, James Deslatte and Lillie Dupuy Deslatte.

She is survived by her son, Lee Thomas Bartholomae, Jr. and wife Charlene; daughter, Loretta Bartholomae Jeter and husband William; son, James Fredrick Bartholomae and wife Cynthia and 6 grandchildren Nathan, Katherine, Theresa, Michael, Jamie and Grace and furry family members.

Burial in Whitehall Community Cemetery.
