Jerry Baker, 78, went home to be with Lord and Savior Sunday, October 28, 2018 in Jay, OK.

Jerry was born on July 27, 1940 in his home on Hwy 28 west of Jay and north of the trading post.

He graduated from Jay High School in 1958 and married Pat Conner in June of 1960.

Together they had and raised 4 children, 3 sons and 1 daughter. Jerry started to work in the Oil and Gas Pipeline Industry around the age 20 and was a Heavy Equipment Operator for nearly 50 years. He is retired out of the #470 Local Operators Union of South Carolina. Jerry never had what most people would call an official hobby. But his passion was visiting with family and friends. He loved to tell stories that made everyone laugh, including him. He would greet visitors with a joyful and heartfelt hello and would, upon leaving say “oh what’s your hurry” followed by “well come back anytime”. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, visiting, playing late into the night pitch games, and spending time with the people he loved and cared about.
