Lowrell Campbell Bryant, 83, of Lynchburg, stepped into Eternity, on Tuesday, October 30, 2018, completely whole and healed in the presence of her Heavenly Father. Born on November 22, 1934, in Amherst County, a daughter of the late Edward Campbell and Zula Massie. Lowrell will be remembered for her love for her Lord, family, and others. Her "rainbow blankets" covered hundreds of children around the world in prayer and love, and she was constantly baking for others. The children that Lowrell and Bill taught in Sunday School return to them dozens of years later grateful for their influence. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by all eight of her siblings. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Joseph W. Bryant; children, Michael Bryant (Theresa), Cheri Whitney (Paul), and Karen Dearden (Shaun); grandchildren, Andrea Swift (Rick), Jonathan Bryant, Katlyn Edwards (Tyler), Rachel Campbell (Jacob) Michael Johnston, and Daniel Dearden; one great-granddaughter, Tess Swift, and a host of nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the entire staff at Guggenheimer Nursing and Rehab for their love and care for both Lowrell and "Joe." Donations in Lowrell's memory can be made to Gleaning for the World, 7539 Stage Rd, Concord, VA 24538. The family will receive friends, Sunday, November 4, 2018, at 1 p.m. at Tharp Funeral Home Madison Heights. A service will follow at 2 p.m. with burial immediately following at Amherst Cemetery. Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Madison Heights, is assisting the family. To send condolences please visit tharpfuneralhome.com.
