LANI D. ACORD RODRIGUEZ VICTORIA - Lani D. Acord Rodriguez fell asleep in death at 1:24 AM October 31st surrounded by her family. She faced her illness with confidence, courage and grace and finished her course with beautiful dignity. Her faith never wavered. Lani was born in El Paso Texas April 10, 1965 to Carl H. Acord and Jenell Conrad Acord. Early in her life she chose to dedicate herself to her God Jehovah and on July 5, 1980 was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She planned as her career to be a full-time Bible teacher, becoming an avid student of God's word. Her greatest joy came from sharing the many gems of truth that she learned with others. She likewise found joy and satisfaction as the primary caregiver of her precious mother-in-law Felicitas Rodriguez until her death in February 2018. Survivors include the love of her life, husband of 33 years, Mario Rodriguez. Mother, Jenell Conrad Acord, brother Marshall Zane Acord & wife Carla, sister Leslie Hubenak & husband Ronnie. She was proceeded in death by her father Carl H. Acord, and twin siblings Keith Lance & Carla Nell Acord. Lani's memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses located at 1509 E. Red River on Saturday, November 10 at 3 PM. Reception to follow.
