Robert Dunnahoe, 85, passed away on October 27, 2018 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on June 5, 1933 to Irving and Mertie Dunnahoe in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. After his service in the Army, Robert began working for the Texas Eastern Pipeline where retired after 25 years as the head supervisor over transportation. In retirement, Robert always stayed busy. This is to include time spent serving in law enforcement, time spent as the Constable of Garland County, Arkansas, being an armored car driver, cross-country trips on his Harley Davidson with his wife, raising his granddaughter, and various other adventures. Robert had a passion for life and a love for people. Whether he was driving a Sunday School bus full of children or working on an old car, Robert did so with a smile on his face and a joyful spirit. Robert was a shining example of how a husband should treat his wife and a reminder that kindness and gentleness are among the best traits a person can have. Whether you had known Robert for a decade or had only just met him, he always had the ability to capture your heart and leave a lasting impression.
He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Donna Kaye Dunnahoe; son-in-law, Clyde E. Gardner; two sisters and two brothers. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, children, granddaughter, brother, other relatives and a host of friends.
Rest in peace, sir.
