Jack's career with the Anderson Clayton Co. in Houston was interrupted by his military service during World War II. He served with the NISEI 442nd Regimental Combat Team, identified by their slogan, "Go For Broke". This group was the most highly decorated of the World War II veterans. Jack returned to his position with Anderson Clayton, and the family returned to Abilene following the war.
