Born in Spartanburg, SC on February 23, 1933, a daughter of the late Ethrem Floyd Allison and Carrie Hammett Allison Bradley; widow of Cecil Edwin Ballew.
Retired sales manager with Luzier Cosmetics, member of Holston Creek Baptist Church, where she formerly served as a G. A. leader, choir member, a part of the church's bereavement committee, a member of the Keen club and Exercising Sharing club.
Survived by two sons, Chris Ballew (Vonda) of Boiling Springs, Todd Ballew (Melanie) of Campobello; two sisters, Polly Hixson, of TN, Francis 'Chick' Johnson (Bob) of Spartanburg; two brothers, Mack Allison (June) of Spartanburg, Jimmy Allison (Jennie) of Campobello; six grandchildren, Jessica, Cecillia, Evangelina, Nathaniel, Nikki and Miranda; and two great-grandchildren, Abbie and Casey.
In addition to her parents and husband, predeceased by a son, Craig Ballew.
Visitation was held at Holston Creek Baptist Church on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 from 2:00 - 2:45 PM.
Memorial Service followed at 3:00 PM at Holston Creek Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Reggie Parker and Rev. Paul Allison.
