Cecil Edwin Ballew, 88, of Inman, SC passed away at his residence Wednesday, March 14, 2018.

Born in Inman, on November 13, 1929, son of the late Onie Aletha Ballew (1898–1980); loving husband of Betty Jean Allison Ballew (1933–2018) celebrating over 64 years of marriage.

Retired from Inman Mills; served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War; a longtime member of Holston Creek Baptist Church where he was a member of the sanctuary choir, a Sunday School teacher, former deacon, and a former RA Leader; a member of the Inman Masonic Lodge #201, where he had served as a past worshipful master, and a past Boy Scout Master of Troup # 26.

Other survivors include his sons, Chris Ballew (Vonda) and Todd Ballew (Melanie); six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Also predeceased by a son, Craig Edwin Ballew (1957-2004).

The family received friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Saturday, March 17, 2018, at Seawright Funeral Home.

Funeral services were held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, March 18, 2018, at Holston Creek Baptist Church, conducted by, Dr. Reggie Parker; burial in the church cemetery.
